M-14R Engine |
1. M14 ENGINES – We will be marketing used AJ or AI-14 260hp, (maybe 360hp too) 9 cylinder, radial engines with accessories, the air start system, and C/S prop, all, ideally for the Travel Air bi-plane. We can’t say exactly what their prices may be until we have several on the floor. We look to have hi-time, mid-time, and overhauled engines with accessories for $9,000, $12,000, and $19,000 respectively. The pneumatics, mounting ring, and prop should run another $4,500.
We can do a top and bottom overhaul of these radials that are used on experimental airplanes for $7,500 plus parts and their 25% mark-up. We would like to establish a Repair Station to also give you a certified major overhaul. |
 |
2. CESSNA 172 V8 STC – QA is well along requesting an FAA STC Issue Letter making the GM LS3 430hp V8 installation in a Cessna 172I thru M. After this retrofit is finished, the engine certified, and the inspections and sign-off completed, the kit will be available for installation by ourselves or approved service centers. We expect to market the fly-away installation at $56,500 with the customer receiving everything firewall forward including the prop, spinner, and cowling for their own sale. Low time engines can cut your cost substantially.
This installation will be complete thru the acceptance flight. You will have a 172 that:
a) is projected to cruise 145 to 150 mph on 6 to 7 gph of 87 octane auto fuel,
b) will be quieter than most all general aviation planes, silent at 1000 ft,
c) has STOL performance with 1100 – 1200 fpm climb,
d) is instant starting and smooth running,
e) has a 3-blade, ground adjustable prop that you adjust for your mission,
f) has so much redundancy built in where the probability of an electronic forced landing is beyond a million hours,
g) should have better TBO times with service and replacement costs being a token of typical charges,
h) is eco-friendly, operating exactly as the auto, and approved for alternative fuels, and
i) handles just like a 172 and is a pure joy to fly.
Stay tuned for progress reports. |

Cougar RG |
3. TWO-PLACE COMPOSITE – A composite, two-place Cougar RG is a year or so from introduction as a quick-build kit. RG is for retractable-gear. With a Rotax 914, speeds of 150 mph, or with an O-200, 170 mph cruise are expected. A fixed-gear version is planned to be in the LSA Category. |
 |
4. NEW PROP DESIGN – Research is underway to develop and hopefully introduce a revolutionary propeller blade that is quiet and more efficient than existing props. ELECTRONIC VERNIER THROTTLE – We have engineered a vernier panel control that can be used for throttle or otherwise that has variable resistive outputs that match the LS Series Engines accelerator signals or that will be made to your specifications. It is like your conventional vernier aircraft control but is only 10” in depth with a serrated plastic knob that can be machined to your preference. The control is priced at $495. |
|

Curtis Robin |
5. CURTIS ROBIN – It was such a neat plane and used both the V8 and radial engines, we would love to make the Curtis Robin available again, at least in plans but also as a kit. This is one that won't happen right away as a lot of searching and documentation is needed. |
 |
7. BELL 47 V8 CONVERSION – It is some time away, but not too early to announce plans to make certified conversions for most of the Bell 47 helicopters to the GM LS7, 505hp V8. It is a rather straight forward installation that uses a machined adapter plate and fabricated gimbal drag links. If anyone has an interest in providing their 47 as the prototype and first delivery for $45,000 and the return of their engine, blower, etc., please inquire. |

8. AIRCRAFT FOR SALE – On occasion we have other aircraft or major components for sale. Details on these are listed here and enlarged pictures can be viewed by clicking on the repespective prints of the side bar. These can be seen at the Orlando/Apopka Airport, Florida (X04), Hangar 99, 407/464-7115.
a) 1970 CESSNA 337E SKYMASTER N61000 – 2536 TTAF, 1197F/R SMOH, 52 SPOH. Family airplane that had an extra complete inspection and reconditioning and is ready for paint. Cabin is 7 or 8. Engines have excellent compression and very low oil consumption. Instruments were refreshed and all lighting works. Current annual and IFR with WAAS updated GNS530, WAAS antenna, KX185 Nav/Com w/GS, KMA20 Audio Panel, KT76A Transponder, Narco 141 ADF, Cessna 400 A/P, Fast Approach electrical junction box, and 4 station stereo intercom. b) 2 EA WILGA 104-35A POLISH MILITARY STOL AIRCRAFT – These are true warbirds in their military colors. They have 260hp 9-cylinder, AI-14RA, radial engines running on 91 octane avgas, (max. 0.04 oz. tetraethyl lead), C/S prop, 12.5 gph at 100 mph cruise. Vmax = 133 mph, and climb 925 fpm. 4 seats with 44 gals of usable fuel. This plane is certified throughout the World for jumping, 3 glider simultaneous pull, banner tow, floats, and skiis except not in the U.S. Full, certified muffler system is available. The U.S. certified 104-80 is the same plane except for fuel selector, oil cooler duct, and main spar cap for greater g-loads. These planes will be registered in the Experimental Exhibition Category as WARBIRDS giving the pilot considerably more flight privileges than the Civilian version. The 1974 Wilga s/n 74200 has 1809 TTAF, 0 since top and bottom overhaul, 800 TBOH, new upholstery, new paint, and the tow package.
