Developing Programs

Many other ventures are being considered or in some stage of development.  Some are listed here.

1. AMAZING V8 SKYMASTER 337 - We have done the numbers on a Cessna 337 Skymaster with the IO360 or the GM LS7 505hp up front and the LS9 650hp supercharged engine in the rear.  With both GM engines, it tops out at only 275 mph because it is a draggy airplane, but WOW, slow it down and it performs.  Better than 5000 fpm in a climb and 200 mph on the rear engine alone.  As in our 172 STC, it will operate on premium auto fuel, run silent, and be highly serviceable.

We are inviting buyers interested in using this airplane in the Experimental Category.  Projected costs will be around $250,000 each.  Please inquire if you find this interesting.

2.  FIREWALL FORWARD KITS - We have learned that the market is not for components as we offer in the QT430 Powerplant, but for a complete, bolt on unit with no need to do any sort of engineering.  There are a few kit planes using the higher hp which we have considered developing, particularly the RV10.  There also would be some warbird replicas and bush planes that would be worthy of the installation.  If anyone has a deep interest in pioneering the fully electronic engine in their plane and working with us to engineer the engine mounts, the cooling system, and the cowl fit, QA certainly would like to discuss the prospects.

3. ELECTRONIC VERNIER THROTTLE – There is no suitable vernier, push-pull control available with an electrical output that can be coupled to the electronic system of an experimental engine.  We have developed the control head or panel mount portion of the vernier that will adapt a pot or gang of pots to be used electronically for your purpose.  It will use 10” of the space behind the panel and can be fitted with a knob of the differing types and colors.  It will cost $650 outfitted to your specs with a protective bonnet
  4. 400 MPH CLONE COMMANDER – There is the exciting potential of producing an 80% scale Twin Commander using the GM LS engines that can fly and possibly even cruise at 400 mph.  Given a clean, composite design, this plane could be configured for 6 people, pressurized comfort with at least a 1000 mile range operating on your auto fuel.  It naturally will be a fast build kit ranging in cost from $300,000 to $500,000 finished depending upon which options were to be included.  This airplane with better than VLJ performance could be accepted in sufficient quantity to justify its’ certification for use in business.

5. AIRCRAFT FOR SALE

On occasions we have aircraft or major components that are for sale.  Details of each will be listed here with enlarged pictures on the side bar.  These can be seen at the Orlando/Apopka Airport (X04) Hangar 99, 407/834-9490.

We are putting a 1974 Polish Army Wilga 104-35A back into the air which will be for sale.  It will have a 0 time engine, new paint with its’ warbird markings and a new interior.  This is a really fun airplane to fly and a great utility plane for the rancher and sportsman.  It should be available in October.

6. This Navion Hartzell propeller should be AD compliant.  It has been in storage since this overhaul:

Hartzell Prop

It is basically a new prop and will be sold for $7,500 FOB Orlando.  If it does not pass inspection, return it and we will refund your money.

This 5-blade Warp Drive 76” propeller is new and available for $950.  (there will be a side bar picture of this)
